During years of both teaching and learning languages, we saw the same situation happen again and again.
People study Italian for years. They know the grammar rules and the vocabulary, yet they still feel stuck when it comes time to speak.
Not because they’re bad at languages.
But because they learned in environments with too much theory and not enough real-life practice.
And when real-life practice was included, it was often done the wrong way: in groups that were too large, without a clear structure and without meaningful feedback.
That’s why we created My Italian Room.
We want to help people from all over the world speak Italian with greater confidence.
We believe that people truly learn a language when they have a safe space to use it consistently, receive support, and feel free to make mistakes.
For us, teaching a language is not just about passing on knowledge.
It’s about helping people build the confidence to use that language in real life.
